Book Review: Missing Presumed Lost by Fred Lockwood
Missing Presumed Lost is the third book in the Jack Collier series by Fred Lockwood. It is another diving based adventure for the marine salvage team that make up the main characters in this trilogy. This time, a sailboat is lost during a sudden, violent storm off the coast of Croatia. Our heroes agree to accept the challenge to find the wreck and salvage it, but will a battered old briefcase found in the wreckage put them in danger?
Once again Fred Lockwood has written an adventure/thriller based around the world of scuba diving and marine salvage. Having read the first two books (read our reviews of Total Loss & Overdue), we now feel we know our main characters well and are invested in their success. Right from the start, their adventure begins and we have another good vs evil (this time based around big pharma) battle on our hands.
The diving, as with all three books, is well researched and you can expect plenty of detail in the processes of marine slavage and technical diving too. The story is full of twists and turns and adventure on the high seas. Jack and Sandro certainly know how to find trouble! It is a good yarn if you fancy something topical on your next diving trip.
