Dive on with DIVER Magazine’s free May 2020 issue

Published

on

It’s never been more important that those in the Scuba Diving Industry work together…  We also want you to have access to as much diving related content as possible whilst we wait for that wonderful moment when we can get back in the water! To this end, we thought we’d share with divers what’s in the monthly magazine from our friends at DIVER Group each month!

May’s DIVER is free for all! Features in the May digital edition of DIVER, which can be downloaded for free HERE, revolve around the diving world as it was before Coronavirus – enjoy virtual diving until normal service resumes!

  • Philippines Special – the Coral Triangle diver favourite is spotlit this month as Henley Spiers reports from little-known Alcoy and Boljoon, Nigel Marsh from the also lesser-known Sogod Bay; and Mark Hatter tours some more familiar Visayas hotspots by liveaboard.
  • The Mars Project: In the first of a two-part feature from the Baltic, Jesper Kjøller fills us in on the history and early dives on one of the world’s greatest historic wrecks.
  • Mine-Hunters: When weather conditions keep them from the sea, a group of wreck-divers in Cornwall get their kicks underground.
  • St Helena: Its very remoteness is the big attraction – especially as it’s a major gathering place for whale sharks. Will Appleyard reports.
  • Circle of Life: Talking of the big stuff, a cameraman finds himself part of a mysterious basking-shark aggregation off the Irish coast.
  • UPY Winners: The shots that scored the high marks in the prestigious Underwater Photographer of the Year contest – and why.
  • Plus: Alex Mustard among the mangroves; a scare in Raja Ampat; Diver Tests, Louise Trewavas, Freda Wright cooking up a storm and much more.

Check back soon to see what’s in the June 2020 issue!
