New Thalassa Dive Resort now open in Lembeh, Indonesia
Since opening in May 2013, Thalassa Dive Resort in Manado has received the Certificate of Excellence four times from TripAdvisor. From this October, guests can experience the same award-winning service and diving from a second location: Lembeh Strait, North Sulawesi.
Thalassa Lembeh is located in a quiet cove on Lembeh Island. Most of the diving will take place in the Lembeh Strait, a narrow sea channel separating Lembeh island from the Sulawesi mainland.
This is a muck diver’s paradise. At the muck sites you can find numerous alien-like creatures such as different types of octopi, including the mimic, blue ringed and hairy octopus, but also the bobtail squid and wunderpus. Contrary to popular belief, there’s not only muck in Lembeh, but also nice coral gardens and a couple of interesting wrecks which are all within limits for recreational diving. The great thing is that many of these dive sites are still off the beaten track! And if you’re lucky, you might see manta rays, sharks, or both.
The new Thalassa Lembeh Resort offers:
- comfortable resort with an exclusive vibe that will make you feel right at home
- volcanic black sand beach
- 12 comfortable sea view bungalows, twin or double, and 3 single deluxe rooms
- two restaurants, bars and a wood fired oven for pizzas — everything you need to refuel after your diving adventure
- a dive center, fully equipped for PADI courses and with a separate camera room
- swimming pool with a sweeping view of the cove
- optional excursions including jungle hikes!
