While the Bahamas is predominantly flat, San Salvador is the tip of the vast underwater mountain reaching abyssal depths, creating an underwater topography of spectacular reefs and plunging wall dives. Located in the marina complex, the Riding Rock Dive Centre is SSI and PADI affiliated. The 50-plus dive sites are located on the calm lee side of the island and are teeming with marine life from nudibranch, crabs and shrimps to barracudas, stingrays and many shark species including the scalloped hammerhead. There are swim-throughs and caverns to explore, and with visibility at an average of 40 metres, underwater photographers will be in their element. Up to three guided boat dives are offered daily on two custom built dive boats.

Over the next 12 months, specialist scuba holiday company Dive Worldwide will be supporting Bite-Back Shark & Marine Conservation with donations collected from client bookings to any one of its stunning dive destinations around the world. The independently-owned operator expects to raise £3000 for the UK charity.
