Book a liveaboard dive adventure with Dive Worldwide and save £100 per person
The Dive Worldwide special offer of £100 per person saving on all their liveaboard trips is available on over 70 awesome liveaboard adventures – the widest range available through a UK tour operator. From the Maldives, Truk Lagoon and Palau to Raja Ampat, Komodo and The Galapagos, the choice is vast. But hurry, the trip must be booked before 31st March 2016 to qualify for the saving.
For those looking for a totally new adventure, head to Sri Lanka later this year and step aboard the first liveaboard to operate there. The Sri Lanka Aggressor launches in September 2016 offering three unique 7-night itineraries encompassing a mix of whales, dolphins, wrecks and reefs. There are trips focused on snorkelling with whales and dolphins; recreational diving trips combining wreck diving and drift dives; and technical wreck weeks which look at the world-class wrecks there.
With a rich culture and great natural beauty, Sri Lanka captures the best of all worlds. The underwater focus is primarily on the 200+ wrecks found around the island. In addition, wildlife enthusiasts can expect to encounter several species of whale and dolphin in its rich waters, and recreational diving weeks offer the best of everything.
Built for power, comfort and stability, the purpose-built Sri Lanka Aggressor is spacious at 44 metres in length and cruises at 10-12 knots. She features 13 spacious air-conditioned staterooms for up to 26 passengers, a partially covered sun deck, lounge, wet-bar, BBQ grill area and swim deck. The boat is accompanied by two skiffs, from which some dives and all snorkelling activities operate.
The inaugural whale and dolphin snorkelling trip begins from Trincomalee on the east coast and offers guests the opportunity to encounter up to 13 species of whale and 8 species of dolphin in the water. World renowned naturalist Howard Martenstyn will be on board offering expert advice and information on behaviour patterns. Expect blue, sperm, humpback, beaked, melon head, pilot and false killer whales.
The recreational diving trips depart from Colombo and time is split between exploring local wrecks and enjoying drift dives along the lush coral reefs, teeming with marine life. The wreck dives include the Thermopylae Sierra, Chief Dragon, Taprobane and Trug (Nilgiri) all of which have their own history, can be easily dived and are home to a prolific array of marine life.
On Tech wreck weeks, wreck enthusiasts will enjoy a week of discovery and exploration on world-class wrecks such as the HMS Hermes, the first ever British built aircraft carrier, now lying at a depth of 54 metres off the Batticaloa coast on the eastern side of Sri Lanka. These are technical diving weeks and the boat is fully equipped for trimix and rebreather diving.
Price: from £2,585pp (saving £100pp) sharing, including 7 nights’ full board liveaboard accommodation on the Sri Lanka Aggressor, international flights, transfers and diving with Dive Worldwide.

Dive Worldwide Announces Bite-Back as its Charity of the Year
Over the next 12 months, specialist scuba holiday company Dive Worldwide will be supporting Bite-Back Shark & Marine Conservation with donations collected from client bookings to any one of its stunning dive destinations around the world. The independently-owned operator expects to raise £3000 for the UK charity.
Manager at Dive Worldwide, Phil North, said: “We’re especially excited to work with Bite-Back and support its intelligent, creative and results-driven campaigns to end the UK trade in shark products and prompt a change in attitudes to the ocean’s most maligned inhabitant.”
Bite-Back is running campaigns to hold the media to account on the way it reports shark news along with a brand new nationwide education programme. Last year the charity was credited for spearheading a UK ban on the import and export of shark fins.
Campaign director at Bite-Back, Graham Buckingham, said: “We’re enormously grateful to Dive Worldwide for choosing to support Bite-Back. The company’s commitment to conservation helps set it apart from other tour operators and we’re certain its clients admire and respect that policy. For us, the affiliation is huge and helps us look to the future with confidence we can deliver against key conservation programmes.”
To launch the fundraising initiative, Phil North presented Graham Buckingham with a cheque for £1,000.
Visit Dive Worldwide to discover its diverse range of international scuba adventures and visit Bite-Back to learn more about the charity’s campaigns.
