5 Reasons Why You Should Invest In Your Own Scuba Gear (Watch Video)

Published

Next in the series of weekly videos from Divers Ready!

Question, what do the rock band KISS, the State of Hawaii and a rack of Wetsuits have in common? Answer: they’re all in this video! I went out to tidy my garage and it was so nice out there with the door open, I decided to shoot this week’s ‘Mouthpiece Monday’ out there too!

I don’t sell Scuba Gear. I don’t work for or own a Dive Retail Operation. My opinion is entirely independent. So why would I recommend that every Scuba Diver should invest in their own set of dive gear?

I own a ton of dive gear. I also have a very understanding wife. Luckily, I do a ton of scuba diving so I make my Scuba Equipment pay for itself. And by investing in quality, I know I’m going to get years of use out of the dive equipment I buy, so by the end of its life, it won’t owe me anything.

We’ve packed this video with tips! There’s at least 10 tips in 8 minutes. I don’t know what else I can do for you!

Published

Thousands of Dive Instructors are out of work, due to Covid-19. Many will not return to scuba diving. And this has the dive training agencies very worried.

For the first time in my career, instead of the usual ‘don’t forget to re-new your membership!’ emails, the main Dive training agencies are aggressively pursuing dive instructors and trying to convince them that life will be better if they cross over to their agency.

I decided to pick up the phone and call around the different agencies to get their best offers. It didn’t go well….

Thanks for watching! D.S.D.O, James
