Our good friends at AP Diving have kindly donated an AP Commando BCD for our latest competition prize.

Originally developed to meet the punishing demands of Navy SAR divers, the AP Commando (formerly known as the BUDDY Commando) went on to take the UK and northern European sport and technical diving market by storm, out-selling its rivals for over 25 years – and still going strong today.

The current series AP Commando retains the essential qualities and features on which this success is based, such as:

–       superior build quality (unique 1000 denier twin-bag construction)

–       excellent lift characteristics (25kg max lift in size XL)

–       superb buoyancy control – choice of AP inflators and optional 0.4 litre 232 bar emergency mini-cylinder

–       the ability to easily upgrade to twinset cambands (no tools required)

…and adds new advantages such as: optional quick-release integrated weight pockets, 10 anodised aluminium D-rings (pre-bent for easy clip-on) and the unique AP reflex comfort-fit system which allows you to customize the fit at shoulders, waist and back with a one-time simple set-up.

The AP Commando is now sold exclusively and direct from the manufacturer at www.apdiving.com.

To be in with a chance of winning this magnificent prize, all you have to do is answer the following question:

What was the AP Commando formerly known as?

Was it:

A)     The BODY Commando

B)     The BUDDY Commando

C)     The CUDDLY Commando

  1. Naive Observer says:

These are nearly indestructible. I had one that gave me over 15 years of trouble free service and was still in great shape, but a little heavy to take in vacation diving.
