After many exciting and busy years in Scapa Flow, Orkney’s famous dive centre Scapa Scuba Dive School decided to close its doors at the end of the 2019 season and focus on the Red Shed marine equipment sales and repair service.

Rather than leave a void, Rob, former instructor at Scapa Scuba decided to take on the challenge, expanding his company Kraken Technical Diving to include both PADI recreational courses, TDI technical courses and guided dive trips.

Rob says: “Having worked for Scapa Scuba for a number of years and had the joy of taking various people out to enjoy the wreck haven of Scapa Flow, we didn’t want the opportunity to dive here to be taken away from all but the more experienced divers or club members!

So we are proud to be the only Diving School in Scapa Flow. We are here for anybody that is interested in exploring one of the best wreck diving sites in the world! The wrecks here are perfect both for people that have never dived before and more experienced divers interested in taking the next step in  their diving education and get more time to enjoy the underwater world.”

Kraken Technical Diving offer various PADI recreational courses for those who want to learn to dive. The team also offer some TDI technical diving courses for those that want to extend their diving limits.
