Robotic Marine Life used to spy on dolphins for new documentary

Filmmaker John Downer has created a group of robotic sea creatures complete with HD cameras to observe a pod of dolphins for a new documentary which is to air in the UK on BBC1 on the 2nd January. The robots come in a number of forms including dolphin, tuna, nautilus and sea turtle and can keep up with the 250-miles-per-day pace of  real dolphins.

The documentary, called Dolphins: Spy in the Pod, will be narrated by former Dr. Who David Tennant.
