Stay warm this winter and learn to ‘Dive Dry’ with PADI eLearning
As many divers around the globe have temporarily hung up their fins, there’s never been a better time to learn new skills from home and get started on eLearning with PADI®, the world’s largest diver training organisation.
Becoming a dry suit diver by completing PADI’s Dry Suit Diver specialty course will allow you to expand your boundaries and dive more places, more often and will keep you warm in colder waters so you can extend your diving season.
A dry suit seals you off from the water and keeps you comfortable, even in surprisingly cold water – especially beneficial in the UK during winter months. There is incredible diving in the world’s cooler regions and in some areas, conditions are even better in colder months.
PADI’s Dry Suit Diver course is designed to introduce divers to dry suit diving and will equip the diver with the skills, knowledge and techniques necessary for diving with this type of exposure suit.
In addition to reviewing dive safety procedures when using a dry suit, you’ll learn which dry suit style and accompanying undergarments are right for you, how to take care of your dry suit, putting on and taking off your dry suit, mastering buoyancy control and suit maintenance.
PADI’s convenient, interactive digital study option allows you to learn anytime and anywhere and uses videos, audio, graphics, reading and short quizzes to help you learn and gauge your progress.
You have an entire year to complete the online portion and can connect at any time with a PADI Dive Centre to complete your in-water training. You’ll be ready to get in the water with your PADI Instructor, develop your dive skills and complete your certification with one confined water and two open water dry suit dives.
PADI has over 200 Dive Centres located across the UK and 6,600 Dive Centres and Resorts across the globe in 186 countries, making underwater exploration, adventure and truly memorable dive experiences easily accessible for novices or experienced divers right here on our shores or further afield.
