What’s Bubbling?
Introduced this season to Dive Worldwide’s programme are the following:
Reethi Faru Resort: Meaning “beautiful reef”, this tranquil resort offers a taste of paradise on the remote Raa Atoll in the Maldives. The resort is built from locally-sourced materials and has a keen focus on sustainability and conservation initiatives. With the on-site dive centre, divers can enjoy the house reef and also explore some of the Atoll’s 40 sites. Marine highlights include mantas, grey reef sharks and eagle rays. Price: 9 days from £2,595.
Solitude One, Palau and Philippines: Purpose built for the discerning diver, Solitude One offers up to 22 guests a home away from home, with the latest technology on board. From November to December she cruises among the famous dive sites of Palau, for wrecks, caves, drop offs and sharks. In April she moves to the Philippines, with trips to Verde Island and Ticao amongst others, for critter action and pelagic sightings. Price: 14 days from £4,695.
M/V French Polynesia Master: World famous beaches and offering a true sense of adventure, French Polynesia is high on the diving bucket list. The M/V French Polynesia Master offers year-round itineraries to these islands, including the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve at Fakarava atoll. Accommodating up to 25 passengers, experienced divers can expect consistent shark encounters and, between July and November, humpback sightings. Price: 11 days from £6,095.
M/V Solomons PNG Master: Offering up to 4 dives a day in seldom visited areas, the M/V Solomons PNG Master provides exceptional diving with numerous sharks and huge shoals of marine life. Between January and April, the boat offers wreck-specific itineraries in the Solomons, with numerous American and Japanese WWII wrecks, and also ‘navigator trips’ as she relocates through little-visited waters on the way to Papua New Guinea. During time here, itineraries include New Britain and Milne Bay, for critters and photography. Price: 12 days from £4,875.

Dive Worldwide Announces Bite-Back as its Charity of the Year
Over the next 12 months, specialist scuba holiday company Dive Worldwide will be supporting Bite-Back Shark & Marine Conservation with donations collected from client bookings to any one of its stunning dive destinations around the world. The independently-owned operator expects to raise £3000 for the UK charity.
Manager at Dive Worldwide, Phil North, said: “We’re especially excited to work with Bite-Back and support its intelligent, creative and results-driven campaigns to end the UK trade in shark products and prompt a change in attitudes to the ocean’s most maligned inhabitant.”
Bite-Back is running campaigns to hold the media to account on the way it reports shark news along with a brand new nationwide education programme. Last year the charity was credited for spearheading a UK ban on the import and export of shark fins.
Campaign director at Bite-Back, Graham Buckingham, said: “We’re enormously grateful to Dive Worldwide for choosing to support Bite-Back. The company’s commitment to conservation helps set it apart from other tour operators and we’re certain its clients admire and respect that policy. For us, the affiliation is huge and helps us look to the future with confidence we can deliver against key conservation programmes.”
To launch the fundraising initiative, Phil North presented Graham Buckingham with a cheque for £1,000.
Visit Dive Worldwide to discover its diverse range of international scuba adventures and visit Bite-Back to learn more about the charity’s campaigns.
