Introducing the Mares Genius Dive Computer
The most evolved dive computer on the market!
The brain of the Genius is powered by the ZH-L16C algorithm, the classic Bühlmann, with the integration of an editable gradient factor. The most popular algorithm with technical dive enthusiasts has now been made ‘recreational’, with the option for personalized settings.
The ‘Technical’ setting allows you to choose from four presets, T0 to T3, or to set the values directly under the “Custom” setting option. The “Recreational” setting provides four preset combinations, R0 to R3, including exclusive functions to fully customize the parameters of your computer:
- Physiology: based on physical condition and personal experience of your physiological reaction during and after a dive, you can select from 4 different levels. Each level makes the gradient factor more conservative.
- Dive: This setting allows for ocean conditions input. again over 4 levels. This can be set during the dive, for example if you encounter strong current.
- Me Today: Select a gradient factor based on how you feel. If you suffered from lack of sleep, feeling dehydrated, or just a bit below par, you can set the computer to be more conservative.
More features include:
- New ZH-L16C algorithm with gradient factors and predictive multigas
- Nitrox and Trimix capable up to 5 gases
- Full colour high-resolution display
- Full tilt digital compass with bearing memory and stopwatch
- Hoseless tank data integration for up to 5 transmitters

May the 4th be with you!
Oyster Diving have recently been given exclusive access to offer scuba diving courses and fun dives at Mercers Lake, a beautiful lake near M25/Gatwick in the UK.
Oyster have just launched their own dive boat ‘The Blue Pear’ to explore various parts of the lake. Divers can glide around the underwater woodland, see lots of fish and decent visibility. Out of the water divers set up in the purpose built kitting up area, unwind in a warm shower, and off-gas in the café & licensed bar.
To celebrate the start of the summer season, AquaSports and Oyster Diving have teamed up to host a Star Wars-themed open day on the 4th May.
Guests will be able to enjoy discounted tasters of various watersports including Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP), Canoeing and Sailing. Oyster Diving will be joined by Apeks and possibly other dive manufacturers to display their latest products. Demo gear will be available for qualified divers and Oyster’s sales support team will be on hand for customers with any questions.
Divers wishing to get in the water will need to book in via Oyster Diving’s website where you can also choose to hire any equipment. Non-divers and well behaved dogs are very welcome!
As well as the watersports there will also be music, food and a licensed bar. The fun starts at 10am and finishes around 4.30pm.
Please come along, wear your finest Stormtrooper or Princess Leia outfit and enjoy the fun!
