Swim with the world’s largest fish this summer in Mexico – sighting guaranteed!

Known as the “gentle giants”, whale sharks can be found in the nourished Caribbean waters surrounding Cancun, Isla Contoy and Holbox between June and September. Despite their name and size, this slowly moving and gentle shark species means no harm to humans as their diet mainly consists of phytoplankton, algae and krill. In order to make this an unforgettable experience for all participants, strict rules – like not touching the animal, avoiding of noise and entering the water in small groups only – need to be followed when joining this tour, making this a good example for a peaceful co-existence between animal and human.

Requirements are: a minimum age of 5 years, not recommended for pregnant women, tour is weather depending, handicapped guests join on request. Bring US$10 dock fee per person, a towel and dry clothes, swimsuit, waterproof camera, biodegradable sunscreen, dramamine if required.
