Cuba is a fascinating destination and the team from The Scuba Place know it best! Experience the magical city of Havana and world class shark and crocodile diving at Jardines de la Reina. This holiday starts with two nights in the fabulous old town of Havana followed by 6 days/7 nights of diving with sharks and crocodiles in The Gardens of the Queen on La Tortuga. Then it’s back to Havana for two more nights before heading home. Flights from London Gatwick on Virgin Atlantic direct to Havana, tourist cards, transfers and marine park fees included.
Your accommodation in Havana is the very best. The Iberostar Parque Central hotel sits right in the heart of the Old Town, surrounded by cobbled streets and all of the famous bars and attractions. Floridita, also known as Hemingway’s, is right across the square, and The Capitolio is just around the corner. Museums are close by, and the streets of Old Town Havana are right on your doorstep.
The diving is world class – sharks galore, all in a stunning marine reserve. Expect clear warm waters, pristine reefs packed with marine life, and some of the best surface intervals ever on desert islands after visiting the crocs in the mangroves. This really is a slice of Heaven – stunning sunsets, silence, zero light pollution, and exceptional hospitality on board the floating Hotel, La Tortuga.
The shark diving is the best – expect 20+ grey reef sharks buzzing around you, or the same numbers of silky sharks on different sites. Lemon sharks frequent the shallows, and keep your eyes peeled for hammerheads, and even tigers. The odd whale-shark frequents these waters too, and expect schooling tarpon, Goliath grouper, conch fields and plenty of critters too!
This is a photographer’s paradise, and is one of the only places on the planet where you can jump in with crocodiles!

Over the next 12 months, specialist scuba holiday company Dive Worldwide will be supporting Bite-Back Shark & Marine Conservation with donations collected from client bookings to any one of its stunning dive destinations around the world. The independently-owned operator expects to raise £3000 for the UK charity.
Manager at Dive Worldwide, Phil North, said: “We’re especially excited to work with Bite-Back and support its intelligent, creative and results-driven campaigns to end the UK trade in shark products and prompt a change in attitudes to the ocean’s most maligned inhabitant.”
Bite-Back is running campaigns to hold the media to account on the way it reports shark news along with a brand new nationwide education programme. Last year the charity was credited for spearheading a UK ban on the import and export of shark fins.
