Vivid-Pix announce support for extra file formats and new video tutorials
Vivid-Pix, the inventor of easy-to-use image-improvement software, has announced Vivid-Pix LAND & SEA SCUBA Picture-Fix software for Windows now supports Canon, Nikon, Olympus, and Sealife RAW, DNG, TIFF and JPEG images.
“Photographers, photo instructors, retailers, and many pros within the scuba and photo industries love our software, but asked us to support these other file formats… and we listened,” explains Rick Voight, CEO of Vivid-Pix. “We then considered how to best help folks learn how to use the software. Who better than Cathy Church, who already teaches photographers, instructors, stores, and dive operators how to get better photos!”
“I was thrilled when Rick asked me to develop his training tutorials,” says Cathy Church, underwater photo pioneer, author of six books, countless articles, and owner of Cathy Church Photo Centre in Grand Cayman. “Since before Vivid-Pix was a company, I’ve been amazed at what Randy [Fredlund] has accomplished with the software development – and now by adding these other formats, everyone can enjoy the fun and easy-to-get terrific underwater and topside photos.”
“As more and more cameras and photographers began using file formats beyond JPEG, the need to expand the capabilities of our software became apparent,” explains Randy Fredlund, CTO of Vivid-Pix. “The software programmers rose to the challenge and the resulting software and images tell the story.”
Vivid-Pix LAND & SEA SCUBA Picture-Fix software is available for free trial and for purchase here and affiliate retailers. RAW, DNG, JPEG and TIFF image format capabilities are available now for Vivid-Pix Windows software. Expanded image formats will be released for Mac OS in the future.

Oyster Diving have recently been given exclusive access to offer scuba diving courses and fun dives at Mercers Lake, a beautiful lake near M25/Gatwick in the UK.
Oyster have just launched their own dive boat ‘The Blue Pear’ to explore various parts of the lake. Divers can glide around the underwater woodland, see lots of fish and decent visibility. Out of the water divers set up in the purpose built kitting up area, unwind in a warm shower, and off-gas in the café & licensed bar.
To celebrate the start of the summer season, AquaSports and Oyster Diving have teamed up to host a Star Wars-themed open day on the 4th May.
Guests will be able to enjoy discounted tasters of various watersports including Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP), Canoeing and Sailing. Oyster Diving will be joined by Apeks and possibly other dive manufacturers to display their latest products. Demo gear will be available for qualified divers and Oyster’s sales support team will be on hand for customers with any questions.
Divers wishing to get in the water will need to book in via Oyster Diving’s website where you can also choose to hire any equipment. Non-divers and well behaved dogs are very welcome!
As well as the watersports there will also be music, food and a licensed bar. The fun starts at 10am and finishes around 4.30pm.
