The Shark Trust: Let’s end uncontrolled shark fishing
The Shark Trust is running a Crowdfunder drive to support their No Limits? No Future campaign.
The No Limits? campaign highlights the urgent need for science-based catch limits for Blue Sharks and other No Limits? species – the Shortfin Mako, Tope, smoothhounds and catsharks. Through the Shark Trust’s crowdfund campaign, the organisation is hoping to raise vital funds to take No Limits? into Europe.
95% of all Atlantic sharks landed by EU vessels are from just four countries: Spain, France, Portugal and the UK. The Shark Trust can create maximum impact by engaging citizens of these countries. The organisation will create a series of impactful pop-up Blue Shark events in key European cities. By doing this, the Shark Trust aims to gain the support it needs to boost the political will to end uncontrolled shark fishing in Europe and beyond.
The Shark Trust needs you, its dedicated supporters, to help get this campaign off to a flying start. The aim is to raise at least £15K over a six-week campaign by offering some unique rewards in return for pledges.
It’s quick and easy to pledge to the campaign. No money is taken unless the Shark Trust reaches its target on the closing date of the 2nd May. There are pledges available from as little as £10.
Please help the Shark Trust to make this campaign a success and take an important step forward towards its goal of ending uncontrolled shark fishing. Please also share the Crowdfunder link below with your friends and networks – the more it spreads, the more likely the Shark Trust is to achieve its goal.
Check out the Crowdfunder page yourself, sign up for one of the unique rewards and keep an eye on social media over the coming weeks as the Shark Trust will be releasing new awards on a regular basis.
