Regaldive expands Grenada Portfolio

Published

on

UK based diving holiday specialist Regaldive, is responding to increased demand for the Caribbean with the introduction of two new hotels in Grenada. With extra flight capacity now available*, Regaldive is offering something new for all budgets, and welcomes the great value Flamboyant Hotel and luxurious Spice Island Beach Resort to its portfolio.

Offering plenty for experienced divers, Grenada is home to over 50 dive sites, ranging from stunning coral reefs and fascinating wrecks to adrenaline charged drift dives. Divers looking to get up close to the marine life can admire seahorses, spotted eagle rays, moray eels, frogfish and sharks, while those more interested in wrecks have a wide range to choose from including the Bianca C – a 200 metre liner that sank in 1961, and the Hema 1 – Grenada’s newest wreck. Other highlights include the eel garden at ‘Northern Exposure’; the treasure-trove of marine species at ‘Flamingo Bay’; the other worldly underwater sculpture park at ‘Moliniere Reef’; and the drift dive at ‘Purple Rain’ which gives the chance to dive in a shower of purple Creole wrasse.

Regaldive’s new Flamboyant Hotel represents great value for money without compromising on quality.  Offering fantastic views across the capital St George, and the Caribbean Sea and mountains, this hotel benefits from a freshwater swimming pool, gym, games room, restaurant, sports bar and evening entertainment. Non-motorised sports, massages and beauty treatments are also available for those wishing to make the most of their time above the water.

Seven nights’ at the Flamboyant Hotel cost from £1,055 per person, and includes flights, transfers and room only accommodation, based on two people sharing. An eight day dive pack costs from £233 per person, and includes air tanks (or 30% Nitrox if qualified), weights and local tax.

For those looking for pure indulgence, the Spice Island Beach Resort, located on the Grand Anse Beach, is considered to be one of the finest hotels in the Caribbean. A family-run hotel with all the benefits of a luxury establishment, the all-suite Spice Island Beach Resort offers a choice of fine and casual dining, bar, swimming pool, spa, fitness centre, floodlit tennis court, non-powered water sports, nightly entertainment and a full concierge service. 34 of the hotel’s suites open directly onto the beach, while 17 have their own private swimming pool.

Seven nights at the Spice Island Beach Resort cost from £2,448 per person, and includes flights, transfers and all inclusive accommodation, based on two people sharing. An eight day dive pack costs from £233 per person, and includes air tanks (or 30% Nitrox if qualified), weights and local tax.

Dive Worldwide Announces Bite-Back as its Charity of the Year

Over the next 12 months, specialist scuba holiday company Dive Worldwide will be supporting Bite-Back Shark & Marine Conservation with donations collected from client bookings to any one of its stunning dive destinations around the world. The independently-owned operator expects to raise £3000 for the UK charity.

Manager at Dive Worldwide, Phil North, said: “We’re especially excited to work with Bite-Back and support its intelligent, creative and results-driven campaigns to end the UK trade in shark products and prompt a change in attitudes to the ocean’s most maligned inhabitant.”

Bite-Back is running campaigns to hold the media to account on the way it reports shark news along with a brand new nationwide education programme. Last year the charity was credited for spearheading a UK ban on the import and export of shark fins.

Campaign director at Bite-Back, Graham Buckingham, said: “We’re enormously grateful to Dive Worldwide for choosing to support Bite-Back. The company’s commitment to conservation helps set it apart from other tour operators and we’re certain its clients admire and respect that policy. For us, the affiliation is huge and helps us look to the future with confidence we can deliver against key conservation programmes.”

To launch the fundraising initiative, Phil North presented Graham Buckingham with a cheque for £1,000.

Visit Dive Worldwide to discover its diverse range of international scuba adventures and visit Bite-Back to learn more about the charity’s campaigns.
