Join Duxy in the Red Sea and ‘Get Wrecked’ while improving your underwater photography skills
Join Scuba Travel’s resident photo pro Duxy on Mistral for the UK-based tour operator’s ‘Get Wrecked’ Photography Itinerary in the Red Sea from the 5th (this coming Saturday)-12th September 2015.
Duxy says of the trip: “Do you sometimes struggle to convey in your pictures the drama and scale of your favourite wrecks? Come on this wreck photo special where you will learn not only the technical expertise to shoot successfully in a variety of sometimes challenging lighting situations, but also how to inject some compositional and artistic skills into your wreck pictures. Placing them into context, telling a story and showing scale will be just some of the topics we will cover on this trip. So dust off your wide angles and hop onboard for a wreck photo extravaganza!”
Mistral is a stable steel liveaboard with all mod cons. Departing from Sharm, you will spend 7 nights on board on a full board basis (twin share cabin). This is a classic itinerary in the Northern Red Sea with up to 21 dives over the week. All marine park fees, 12lt tank and weights are included in your package. All trips are fully guided with 2 expert guides. Flights are with Thomson from Gatwick and transfers are also included. At the end of the week you will have day use of a hotel and buffet lunch while you wait for your flight home. Excluded are the Egyptian entry visa, alcohol, additional kit hire and any on board souvenirs.
Usually £1,195, Scuba Travel have knocked a whopping £200 off the price of a space on this trip, so if you want to get away to the Red Sea and improve your underwater photography skills for just £995, contact the Scuba Travel sales team now by calling either 0800 072 8221 (from the UK) or +44 (0)1483 411590 (from the rest of the world), email dive@scubatravel.com or click here.

Dive Worldwide Announces Bite-Back as its Charity of the Year
Over the next 12 months, specialist scuba holiday company Dive Worldwide will be supporting Bite-Back Shark & Marine Conservation with donations collected from client bookings to any one of its stunning dive destinations around the world. The independently-owned operator expects to raise £3000 for the UK charity.
Manager at Dive Worldwide, Phil North, said: “We’re especially excited to work with Bite-Back and support its intelligent, creative and results-driven campaigns to end the UK trade in shark products and prompt a change in attitudes to the ocean’s most maligned inhabitant.”
Bite-Back is running campaigns to hold the media to account on the way it reports shark news along with a brand new nationwide education programme. Last year the charity was credited for spearheading a UK ban on the import and export of shark fins.
Campaign director at Bite-Back, Graham Buckingham, said: “We’re enormously grateful to Dive Worldwide for choosing to support Bite-Back. The company’s commitment to conservation helps set it apart from other tour operators and we’re certain its clients admire and respect that policy. For us, the affiliation is huge and helps us look to the future with confidence we can deliver against key conservation programmes.”
To launch the fundraising initiative, Phil North presented Graham Buckingham with a cheque for £1,000.
Visit Dive Worldwide to discover its diverse range of international scuba adventures and visit Bite-Back to learn more about the charity’s campaigns.
