Get the whole family into diving at DIVE 2014
Visitors to DIVE 2014 at the NEC Birmingham on the weekend of the 25th and 26th October can now book in advance for scuba sessions in the show’s popular Try-Dive Pool.
The free opportunity for youngsters and new divers to get a taste of scuba is being offered by The Dive School at Stoney Cove, which has introduced a special advance booking form to help show visitors plan their day.
The Try-Dive pool is just one of many special attractions awaiting visitors at DIVE 2014, the UK’s biggest and most popular event for divers, which will host around 200 companies offering diving gear, holidays and services.
In addition to a separate in-hall pool dedicated to rebreathers, show features will include the PhotoZone, the British Isles Experience, the Asia-Pacific Showcase and the Caribbean Village.
And for those with training as well as travel in mind, experts from the likes of PADI, BSAC, SSI and SAA will be offering guiding hands throughout the weekend.
There will also be an extensive programme of free presentations from top diving speakers, including Monty Halls, Andy Torbet, Andrew Fox, Mark Powell, Martin Edge, Saeed Rashid, Nigel Wade and Paul Duxfield.
And a free-to-enter draw will give all Show visitors the chance to win a £12,500 dream dive trip for two to PNG provided by Original Diving.
DIVE 2014 opening times are 9.30-6.00 on Saturday 25 October and 9.30-5.00 on Sunday 26 October.
Ticket prices start at just £8.50 for groups of 6 or more divers (a saving of £4 per person off the full price of £12.50).

Over the next 12 months, specialist scuba holiday company Dive Worldwide will be supporting Bite-Back Shark & Marine Conservation with donations collected from client bookings to any one of its stunning dive destinations around the world. The independently-owned operator expects to raise £3000 for the UK charity.
Manager at Dive Worldwide, Phil North, said: “We’re especially excited to work with Bite-Back and support its intelligent, creative and results-driven campaigns to end the UK trade in shark products and prompt a change in attitudes to the ocean’s most maligned inhabitant.”
Bite-Back is running campaigns to hold the media to account on the way it reports shark news along with a brand new nationwide education programme. Last year the charity was credited for spearheading a UK ban on the import and export of shark fins.

To launch the fundraising initiative, Phil North presented Graham Buckingham with a cheque for £1,000.
