Caribbean Fun Travel announce new destinations for 2016
Caribbean Fun Travel, the UK travel specialist for the Caribbean, offers holidays to which include some of the best dive destinations in the world. In response to customer demand and an increase of 20% in bookings in 2015 – Caribbean Fun Travel will offer new destinations in 2016 which have some fantastic diving for UK divers to enjoy.
Local knowledge is a vital element of their tailor-made holiday packages and, as an important first step, Douglas Durrant, MD of Caribbean Fun Travel, attended the recent Caribbean Market Place in the Bahamas, organised by the Caribbean Hotel and Travel Association. This is a the major tourism exhibition for the whole of the Caribbean and attended by over 29 Caribbean countries with over 272 suppliers.

Caribbean Fun Travel was the only independent tour operator – and the only dive holiday specialist – from the UK to attend the exhibition.
The CHTA President and the Prime Minister of the Bahamas both welcomed Caribbean Fun Travel by name, as a tour operator specialising in holidays for divers, who they were both keen to welcome to the Caribbean. Caribbean Fun Travel will soon offer holidays to St. Lucia, Barbados, the Bahamas and Antigua.
St. Kitts, Turks and Caicos and Tobago will be added when time allows.

Now we will add some familiar, but equally exciting, destinations for divers and snorkellers to enjoy. Over the next 12 months, specialist scuba holiday company Dive Worldwide will be supporting Bite-Back Shark & Marine Conservation with donations collected from client bookings to any one of its stunning dive destinations around the world. The independently-owned operator expects to raise £3000 for the UK charity.
Manager at Dive Worldwide, Phil North, said: “We’re especially excited to work with Bite-Back and support its intelligent, creative and results-driven campaigns to end the UK trade in shark products and prompt a change in attitudes to the ocean’s most maligned inhabitant.”
Bite-Back is running campaigns to hold the media to account on the way it reports shark news along with a brand new nationwide education programme. Last year the charity was credited for spearheading a UK ban on the import and export of shark fins.
