MSDT Instructor Javier Herrera of Pro Dive Mexico recognised by Jean-Michel Cousteau & the Scuba Fest committee during the Cozumel Scuba Fest 2015

Mexico & Dominican Republic – Pro Dive International, one of the Caribbean’s most established PADI 5 Star Dive Resorts and recognized Career Development Centers, announced recently that one of their MSDT instructors based at Pro Dive Mexico in Cozumel – Javier Herrera – has been recognized as an ambassador of ‪Cozumel and the Scuba Fest for his excellent work, integration and support of Cozumel´s diver community, by‪ no other than Jacques Yves Cousteau´s son ‎Jean Michel & the Scuba Fest Committee.

The 4th edition of the annual Cozumel Scuba Fest (Dec 8-13th, 2015) was dedicated to advanced divers who could follow Jacques Cousteau’s journey on his visit to the island back in the 1960’s, and become an ambassador for the world´s second largest barrier reef by completing a route of nine reefs during four consecutive days of this six-day event, to receive the official logbook signed by his son Jean Michel Cousteau, become a “Friend of the Reef” and member of the diver network recognized by the Ocean Futures Society.
