New Oman liveaboard from Diverse Travel

Oman Queen of Musandam

UK based tour operator Diverse Travel have announced that they are now offering dive holidays aboard the new Oman liveaboard, Queen of Musandam, with  7-night trips departing every Saturday.

Just 80 miles from Dubai on a modern highway is Oman’s little-known Musandam Peninsula – an area of outstanding natural beauty. The best weather seasons are April to June and September to November with a range of daily flights at competitive prices. Add to that an ‘add-on-stay’ in Dubai with all its attractions and this becomes an exciting and unique two-centre holiday.

This comfortable 81-foot boat has six air-conditioned, ensuite cabins and takes just 12 guests. She has an air-conditioned lounge with TV/DVD, bar, diving deck, partially covered sundeck with loungers and outdoor seating for those relaxing times of the day.

“Oman is becoming popular with divers as they look for varied diving experiences,” explains Jim Yanny, MD of Diverse Travel. “Dramatic vertical cliffs and azure seas give Musandam the affectionate nickname, ‘fjords of the Gulf’. Below water the drama continues with dynamic underwater topography and a huge variety of marine life; whale shark, sun fish, rays, pilot whales, lobsters, hawksbill, green turtles, huge schools of snapper, barracuda and jacks. Critters galore are also in abundance including nudibranchs, seahorses, mantis shrimp, cuttlefish and frogfish, making Musandam a macro-photographer’s delight.”

Diverse Travel also runs shorter liveaboard trips in Oman starting at just two nights, available on other boats. These are ideal for groups with a mix of divers, snorkellers and non-divers who can spend more time enjoying the delights of Dubai.

Prices start from £1249 per person for an 8-night package based on twin share including direct return flights from London Heathrow to Dubai, 7 nights’ accommodation in twin/double cabin, including all meals, 6 days’ boat diving with up to 3 guided dives per day and transfers.

With over twenty years of scuba instruction, dive centre and resort management, the Diverse Travel team has the experience to deliver memorable diving holidays. Holidays booked with Diverse Travel benefit from full financial ATOL protection under the TTA.

As well as Oman, Diverse Travel offers a choice of worldwide destinations concentrating on top-class diving, customer care and excellent value for money.
