Meet Andy, Monty, Alex, Chris and other top divers at DIVE 2013

Visitors to DIVE 2013 will have the chance to interact with a great line-up of speakers – on the main DIVER Stage, where the accent is on adventure; on the new Centre Stage; and, with a rolling programme of seminars, in the two Ocean Theatres.
Andy Torbet, Monty Halls and Alex Mustard will be among the top divers making presentations on both days of the show, at the NEC Birmingham on 26/27 October.
Andy’s subject will be Extreme Diving Adventures; Monty will be focussing on his new Dive Mysteries TV series; and Alex will be joined by fellow photo guru Martin Edge to tell you ‘What to Shoot and What to Ignore’.
And British cave-diver Chris Jewell, who recently led an expedition to Mexico’s Huautla system that established the cave as the deepest in the Western hemisphere, will be treating the DIVE 2013 audience to descriptions of this incredible seven-week adventure.
Among the many other speakers taking the stage at DIVE 2013 will be the inimitable Paul Rose, and TDI/SDI Instructor Trainer Mark Powell. Others not to be missed include PhotoZone speakers Michael Aw, Paul Duxfield, Fergus Kennedy, Saeed Rashid, Simon Gardener and Nick Robertson-Brown.
The PhotoZone is, of course, the part of the show that offers something for all levels of underwater photo enthusiast. In addition to browsing the impressive BSoUP/DIVER Prints Competition Gallery, you’ll be able to inspect, discuss and buy cameras and accessories to your heart’s content on the stands of the many specialist suppliers.
Exhibition stands covering dive gear, travel and training will, of course, also be a major feature of DIVE 2013, and other in-hall attractions will include the BSAC Branch Pods and Kidz Zone, breath-hold demos and free NoTanx workshops, The British Isles Experience, the BSoUP/DIVER Prints Gallery and the Scuba Pursuits Try Dive Pool.

Diving in this region offers a mix of dramatic underwater landscapes, intriguing marine life, and historic wrecks. The waters surrounding Saba Marine Park are home to towering pinnacles formed by ancient lava flows, sheer walls, and coral-covered seamounts, where reef sharks, turtles, eagle rays, and schooling fish are often spotted. Just across the channel, the dive sites of St. Kitts provide a variety of underwater scenery, from gently sloping reefs to spur-and-groove formations, with shipwrecks now serving as habitats for lobster, stingrays, and barracuda. With up to five dives per day, this itinerary offers a mix of exploration and adventure in the heart of the Caribbean.
Between dives, the islands offer even more to discover with Explorer Ventures Fleet’s optional land tours. Stroll through Saba’s Windwardside Village, where red-roofed cottages and lush mountain views create a picture-perfect setting. Take in the breathtaking scenery along “The Road That Couldn’t Be Built”, or visit a local glassblowing and art studio to see island creativity in action. The magic of the Caribbean extends beyond the water, and whether you’re diving beneath the waves or exploring these charming destinations, you’re sure to fall in love with the unique beauty.
This limited-time offer is the perfect excuse to grab a dive buddy and experience the best of Saba, St. Kitts, and St. Maarten at an unbeatable price. Book by March 31, 2025, to take advantage of these exclusive savings. www.explorerventures.com/saba-st-kitts/
