Go wild for Monty’s Philippines typhoon fundraiser

TV diver and explorer Monty Halls is hosting a special fundraiser on 15 December in aid of the Philippines after the devastating impact of Typhoon Haiyan.
“Go Wild for the Philippines” – to be held at the Victoria Rooms in Bristol – was conceived by Monty as a one off event created by the wildlife-filming and diving community to support the people of those areas ravaged by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. Taking place on Sunday 15 December, tickets sold out within 48 hours of going on sale.
The response was so overwhelming that Monty decided to add an extra special event in the evening. This is “Go Wild – UNCUT”. The evening will showcase top wildlife speakers Ben Fogle, Doug Allan, Steve Backshall and Dr Alice Roberts along with Monty himself.
Tickets are in the form of a donation of £10 to the nominated charity Shelterbox, who are working night and day to provide shelter, water purification, tools and hope to the people in the areas ravaged by the typhoon. With this in mind please be aware it is a blanket fee of £10 + a small handling fee for every person attending. This is an absolute snip for this unique line-up of stars, but will still make a big difference to the people still suffering in the Philippines.

With a passing glance, many divers have dismissed a visit to this gem, its rustic appearance and remote location seemingly enough to deter further consideration.
