Equipment Review: X-Contact 2 Mask and Airflex Hyperdry Snorkel from Beuchat (Watch Video)

Published

on

If you’re in the market for a reasonably priced mask for diving or snorkelling then the Beuchat X-Contact 2 is a great choice, as we found out on a recent trip to Antigua.

The design offers a wide field of vision in a compact and comfortable style. It’s super-soft hypoallergenic silicone helps with equalisation and is very durable, making the mask feel more high quality than the price may suggest.

A great addition to the mask is the Beuchat Airflex Hyperdry Snorkel. It’s super flexible and comfortable with a valve that closes during immersion and an innovative design that helps to prevent any influx of water.

You can get your hands on both for less than £60 which is a great deal for any snorkeller or diver who just wants a good quality option without breaking the bank!

Strong currents and deep blue water are the catalysts that bring the pelagic species flocking to these reefs. The reefs themselves provide exquisite homes for a multitude of marine life.  The wafting soft corals are adorned with thousands of colourful fish. The gorgonian fans and hard corals provide magnificent back drops, all being patrolled by the reef’s predatory species.

£1475 per person based on double occupancy.  Soft all inclusive board basis, buffet meals with snacks, tea and coffee always available.  Add a week on at Roots Red Sea Resort before or after the liveaboard for just £725pp.  Flights and transfers are included.  See our brochure linked above for the full itinerary.
