Enjoy Caribbean and Atlantic diving in Tobago

Tick off two key dive locations with one diving holiday to Tobago which has 60 dive sites split between the Caribbean and the Atlantic.
UK-based Tour Operator Regaldive (www.regal-diving.co.uk, tel: 01353 659999) offers 7 nights at the Grafton Beach Resort from £1219 per person, based on two adults sharing on a bed and breakfast basis, including return flights and airport transfers. Diving packages start from £225 per person for three days with two dives per day.
Black Rock Divers has an on-site dive shop at Grafton Beach Resort meaning divers can head out to many of the Caribbean sites directly from Stonehaven Beach.

A unique natural phenomenon that sees nutrients from the Orinoco River flow into the waters around Tobago means that the waters around the island are particularly rich in healthy corals, including the world’s largest brain coral, as well as tropical fish, turtles, stingrays, moray eels and seahorses. Dive sites range from rock reefs encrusted with sponges and corals to wrecks and pinnacles.
Experienced divers will enjoy sites such as London Bridge, a distinctive arch that rises out of the water where divers have to make their way through a deep and narrow passageway, the Japanese Gardens and the wrecks of the Maverick or the SS Kioto. These sites are abundant in tube sponges, brain corals, lobsters, moray eels and schools of fish.
Sites such as the Coral Gardens, Mount Irvine Wall and Culloden Sunks with their mix of fringed and bank reefs and rocks are ideal for novice divers.

With water temperatures ranging from 24C to 28C the island is a year-round dive destination and with diving to suit all abilities.
Aside from the diving, the island has many other attractions. Between April and October Stonehaven Beach is a popular nesting site for leatherback and hawksbill turtles. Or why not try night time paddleboading to see glowing plankton.

Grafton Beach Resort is set in 5 acres overlooking Stonehaven Beach with restaurants, bars and two swimming pools – one is for children. Guests also have use of the tennis courts, fitness centre and spa at Le Grand Courlan Spa Resort, which is just next door.

Scubaverse Welcomes Jacob Guy to the Underwater Photography Team

We’re thrilled to announce the final addition to our new Scubaverse Underwater Photography Team: multi-award-winning underwater filmmaker and photographer Jacob Guy.
Like Shannon Moran, who we announced as one of our new underwater photography team members yesterday, Jacob represents the next generation of underwater image-makers, bringing fresh energy and a seriously impressive set of credentials to the team. A Fourth Element ambassador, teacher at The Underwater Club, and co-founder of 71%, Jacob is passionate about conservation and natural history storytelling, using his lens to inspire a deeper connection to the ocean.
Jacob has filmed and self-produced award-winning documentaries and worked as a photo and video pro in Lembeh and on liveaboards throughout Indonesia. Most recently, he was named Young Ocean Photographer of the Year, further cementing his reputation as one of the most exciting emerging talents in underwater media today.
You may already be familiar with his compelling work across social media, where he shares his ocean adventures via @JacobGuy.media.
“I’m really excited to be joining the team at Scubaverse,” said Jacob.
“And I couldn’t be happier to have him onboard,” said Scubaverse founder, Dave Alexander. “Jacob is part of a bold new wave of underwater storytellers—and I’m delighted that Scubaverse can be part of his journey as he continues to make waves in the world of diving and underwater photography.”
We can’t wait to share with you what our new underwater photography team cook up—there’s a lot of exciting stuff on the horizon, so stay tuned!
