Diving with Giants by Tony Gilbert – November NUPG meeting (watch video)

Published

on

The November 2021 NUPG meeting saw Tony Gilbert take to the virtual stage. Tony is one of the founding members of NUPG and so it was great to see him back speaking to the group about his diving adventures and underwater photography on Northern Ireland’s Causeway Coast. Amazing images and wonderful stories (apart from the one about losing his camera!) that had us all wanting to follow in Tony’s fin-steps.

The monthly NUPG competition theme in November was “Jawsome” and there were some excellent images of open mouths and teeth from the UK and all around the world. The winner was Mike Clark with this shot of a seal mouthing the camera.

John Spencer took both the runner-up spots with images of an eel having a bit of dental cleaning

and an image of a gaping scorpionfish
