Oceania Safari Features Premier Dive Locations in Philippines & Palau
UK based scuba diving tours company Dive Safari Asia have created a guided safari featuring a collection of dive sites in the Philippines & Palau. During the 14 night tour guests will have the opportunity to dive the rich and diverse marine habitats on offer including pristine reefs in the Philippines, home to an abundance of healthy soft corals and critters followed by sharks, rays and schooling pelagics in Palau.
Anda is located on the east coast of Bohol in the central Visaya and is only just being recognised by divers as a premier location within the Philippines. The region offers superb reef diving with healthy reefs, white sand bays and excellent photo opportunities throughout a number of secluded dive sites.
In contrast Palau offers varied topography in the shape of caverns, overhangs and deep walls. The local government recently declared the region to be a shark sanctuary and divers can expect frequent sightings of grey reefs and white tips plus good chances of manta encounters and big schools of fish in excellent visibility.
During the tour there are a number of landbased highlights on offer including the World Heritage Site ‘Chocolate Hills’ and Tarsiers (world’s smallest primate) in the Philippines followed by the unique Jellyfish Lake and islands adventures in Palau.
Tour leaders Ben Stokes and Sarah Kemsley carefully selected a number of specific dive sites to feature in the tour following over 10 years and thousands of dives throughout the region.
Dive Safari Asia is a UK based company founded in 2008 by Ben Stokes and Sarah Kemsley. The couple spent 8 years working in various locations around the world as instructors and dive guides before returning to the UK to create their own brand of dive holidays which includes a number of exclusive safari style tours throughout Asia & Pacific regions.
The tour takes place from the 1st May – 16th May 2015 and includes 14 nights accommodation, 29 dives, internal transfers and full board (except evening meals in Palau) for £2745.00 per person on a twin/double share basis.
