ScubaCaribe opens new dive and watersports centre at Costa Mujeres, Mexico
ScubaCaribe, one of the most established dive and watersports operations in the Caribbean, has announced the inauguration of their five star facilities at the newly opened Hotel RIU Dunamar 5*.
The hotel is located on the pristine Costa Mujeres beach, about 30km north of Cancun’s hotel zone in Quintana Roo, Mexico. Heavenly white sandy beaches, crystal clear Caribbean waters and a paradise for watersports enthusiasts invite individual travelers, couples, families and groups alike to enjoy a memorable vacation.
ScubaCaribe’s modern aquatic center provides brand new topnotch equipment by ScubaPro, as well as PADI diving courses, scuba diving and snorkeling at the largest barrier reef in the northern hemisphere, excursions to Cancun’s underwater museum Musa, the Riviera Maya’s famous cenotes, crocodile watching, swimming with whale sharks, and many more bucketlist adventures. An exciting choice of watersports activities like jet skiing, sailing and kayaking is also available in addition to diving.
Non-motorized watersports equipment is offered to all hotel guests for one hour per day as part of their All Inclusive package, as well as free scuba tryouts at the pool. Over the next 12 months, specialist scuba holiday company Dive Worldwide will be supporting Bite-Back Shark & Marine Conservation with donations collected from client bookings to any one of its stunning dive destinations around the world. The independently-owned operator expects to raise £3000 for the UK charity.
Manager at Dive Worldwide, Phil North, said: “We’re especially excited to work with Bite-Back and support its intelligent, creative and results-driven campaigns to end the UK trade in shark products and prompt a change in attitudes to the ocean’s most maligned inhabitant.”
Bite-Back is running campaigns to hold the media to account on the way it reports shark news along with a brand new nationwide education programme. Last year the charity was credited for spearheading a UK ban on the import and export of shark fins.
