More LIDS 2015 news and special ticket offers for BSAC members
BAFTA award winning filmmaker James Brickell will be joining the London International Dive Show’s 2015 speaker line up, with his own unique take on the perils of u/w film-making.
To be held over the weekend of 14/15 February at Excel, LIDS continues its tradition of presenting a top speaker line up.
James Brickell has been making films at the BBC Natural History Unit for more than 17 years, with two BAFTAs among his awards. As a director, producer and head of the NHU dive team he has filmed series such as Great Barrier Reef and Deadly 60.
James will be joined by a host of other top speakers, meaning there is something for everyone at this year’s LIDS, including top UK photographer Alex Mustard, wreck specialist Leigh Bishop and cave freediver Marcus Greatwood. Show stalwarts Monty Halls, Paul Rose and Andy Torbet will also make a welcome return.
Organised by the DIVER Group, LIDS 2015 is timed to coincide with three other major outdoor pursuit shows at London’s ExCeL Centre. This gives divers the chance to see for themselves the latest in other sports such as cycling, triathlon and the full range of other outdoor activities – and for non-divers to get an idea of what our own sport is all about and get involved.
From try dive and rebreather pools, the British Isles Experience, DIVER speaker and PhotoZone stages to the pick of diving holidays, latest dive gear and kit manufacturers, as well as the BSAC stand, LIDS offers something for every diver and is a great way to shake off the winter blues and get inspired for the 2015 dive season ahead. All LIDS ticket holders are also in with a chance of winning a three-week diving holiday in the Philippines, worth £8,000.
