Werner Lau announce reopening of the legendary Sandies Bathala Resort, Maldives
Reopening of the legendary diving island in the North Ari Atoll on the Maldives, Sandies Bathala Resort
At last the waiting is over! Sandies Bathala officially opened on 18 June 2019 in the North Ari Atoll on the Maldives. The island was completely renovated and rebuilt during 2018 and 2019. The result is impressive: a modern and price-attractive Maldives island has emerged, retaining its old flair.
The old, dilapidated bungalows were replaced by 46 new bungalows with modern comforts. All Beach-Bungalows blend in with the palm trees and have direct access to the beach via a private terrace. In addition, 24 water bungalows were built inside the lagoon on the eastern tip of the island.
Unchanged and in its old place is the diving center, which is still under the management of Werner Lau and welcomed its first guests. The diving procedures are the same as before. Twice a day the Dhonis go to the surrounding, well-known dive sites. Full day trips and two tank dives are offered as usual and the house reef still has the well known 6 entrances and exits. Don’t miss the night dives on Bathala’s house reef. It’s really worth it!
For spontaneous bookings it is a good idea to reserve now and enjoy the flair of this new atmosphere. You can book the Buddyweeks with Werner Lau until 31 July 2019.
All information, as well as new pictures, is online at www.wernerlau.com. The resort can be booked through various international tour operators. A list can also be found on the website .
