Marine Conservation Society to benefit from dive holiday website bookings

logoThe Marine Conservation Society (MCS) has teamed up with international diving holiday website, Divebooker.com. The relationship will help raise funds to ensure the charity can continue its work for cleaner seas and beaches, sustainable fisheries and better protection for marine wildlife and habitats.

Divebooker.com, which was set up three years ago, collaborates with over 1000 dive centres and liveaboard dive operators worldwide and provides a range of diving trips, packages and courses online.

Divebooker.com will be donating £5 to MCS for every £100 spent, as well as encouraging individual donations from their online customers.

The idea for the new partnership came about after the two organisations met at the Dive Show in Birmingham last year.

CEO and Divebooker.com Co-founder Eugene Bessonov says he’s very excited about launching this new partnership with MCS: “The charity’s ethos chimes perfectly with ours; as diving specialists, we are totally committed to making our marine environment a better place for everyone. We’re looking forward to a fruitful relationship with MCS to not only help raise awareness of the importance of the need to look after our precious marine wildlife, but also to encourage more people to support the charity’s aims and campaigns now and into the future.”

MCS Chief Executive, Mrs Sam Fanshawe said: “We’re delighted and extremely grateful to Divebooker for their generous support of MCS. As well as raising vital funds for our work, partnering with Divebooker enables us to convey our messages to a global audience who see at first hand the problems facing our oceans.”
