SEA&SEA announce new MDX-D850 Housing for the Nikon D850

Published

on

SEA&SEA have announced the MDX-D850 Underwater Housing for the Nikon D850 camera.

Using unprecedented precision machining, the dimensions of this new housing are similar to those of the camera. In addition, the revised internal design has also helped reduce weight. The MDX-D850 is approximately 11% (350g/12.3oz) lighter than the previous MDX-D810 housing.

The frequently used Main and Sub-Command Dials are now located directly on the right side of the housing for easier access. Compatible with the Optical YS Converter/N1 and a wide range of Sea&Sea accessories to tailor to your needs.

Features

  • The Port Lock prevents the port from turning or loosening and the Port Lock lever is specifically located to avoid being unlocked accidentally.
  • The housing is equipped with a lens-lock release button which makes it possible to change lenses easily, without opening the housing.
  • The camera’s diopter adjustment dial can be operated from outside the housing. This feature is useful when two or more people with different eyesight use the housing.
  • Pulling out the Focus/Zoom Dial gives sufficient room inside the housing to easily accommodate larger diameter lenses.
  • All controls have luminescence stickers which glow in dark environment.
  • Equipped with the Optical Viewfinder 0.5x as standard. Other optional viewfinders such as the VF180, VF45 and Optical Viewfinder 0.8x can be used.
  • Sync Cord 2-pin Connector enables use of conventional hardwired Sync cable (Manual mode only).
  • Accessory port enables use of Leak Sentinel (vacuum sensor).
  • Equipped with two sacrificial zinc diodes (one on the front case and the other on the rear) to prevent electrolysis damage.
  • Built-in leak sensor immediately alerts you to water ingress.
  • Tripod screw mount is located on the centre underside of the housing.

SRP: £3999.95

NEW: Atomic Aquatics 25 year anniversary T25 limited edition regulator

Published

on

Representing 25 years of breakthroughs and breaking rules, the Atomic Aquatics T25 limited-edition anniversary regulator is a highly evolved version of the iconic T3 all-titanium regulator.

To achieve the T25’s unparalleled durability and performance, Atomic started with solid bars of titanium alloy and precision machined them to our super-elite specs. But they didn’t stop there. To achieve radical durability, they plated the T25’s machined body with a new, proprietary diamond-like hardness coating (DLC). The result is a “burnt titanium” that’s stunningly beautiful, ultra durable and 100% unique. In fact, with its rainbow-like burnt titanium finish, each T25 is highly exclusive—and no two regulators will share the same appearance.

Divesoft introduces new Optical Display Adapter

Published

on

A new piece of diving equipment, developed and unveiled by market-leading company, Divesoft, was released at the end of June 2021, and is equipped to become you and your CCR Liberty’s newest best friend. The ODA, Optical Display Adapter, provides its users with a constant overview of the most important CCR diving data, such as information on setpoint, depth, time, decompression, and ascent rate.

Adjustable and lightweight

A full-color 428 × 240 pixel display shows the most important data for a CCR: the current loop ppO2. Furthermore, the ODA, weighing only 150g, has a built-in tilt compensated compass, which helps determine the direction you are swimming. Many parts of the ODA are adjustable, making it a highly customizable piece of equipment: you can adjust the focus of the optics to your eyesight, and the mount is also adjustable to even withstand riding a scooter.

Stay focused and charged

The ODA is connected via an ultra durable and flexible cable. Moreover, for user’s convenience, charging is not necessary as it is powered by the CCR Liberty. As for the display, the system automatically assesses the conditions and adjusts brightness based on the amount of ambient light. The high-quality sapphire glass features anti-reflective coating which ensures a clear view of the display without glare. The optical features allow simultaneous monitoring of the display and the ambient environment as the optics enlarges the miniature display.

Keeps you safe

Last but not least, a key property of the ODA is that it keeps you safe by quick warning with red flashes in case safety values are exceeded. At the same time, your diving partner is warned by the front buddy display, so you can be assisted immediately in the event of an emergency.

More details

The ODA is only compatible with Liberty 2021 Edition. More details are available on the Divesoft website under the Optical Display Adapter or you can contact Divesoft support directly via email info@divesoft.com.
