RAID to have strong presence at OZTeK 2015
Diver training agency RAID will have a strong presence at OZTeK 2015 (Sydney Australia March 14/15) with a well-staffed booth (Booth #21) to welcome all those interested in finding out more about RAID as well as an exciting seminar and training program during and before OZTeK. Visitors to the booth will be able to personally meet RAID International executive staff including Jim Holliday, Paul Toomer, Mark McCrum, Terry Cummins, RAID Asia Director Col McKenzie and from RAID Australia / South Pacific, Steve Bates and Brendon Holliday.
A highlight of the RAID presence at OZTeK 2015 will Paul Toomer‘s two talks as part of a sensational Conference schedule. Firstly, Paul will present “Malta and Sicily: The Truk Lagoon of the Mediterranean”. Malta and Sicily were the scene of some of the heaviest shipping tolls of WWII, so the audience will be thrilled as Paul takes you through the discovery of some of the region’s magnificent shipwrecks and discusses the logistics of diving them.
Also as part of the OZTeK Conference Paul will present “Real Life Rescue”. In late 2012 Paul was put in the unenviable position of performing a rescue on a drowned rebreather diver. Paul’s perspective on rescue is unique, somewhat outside the norm and certainly thought provoking. Paul will present what generally leads to problems and how the team dealt with and performed a successful rescue in this specific case with obvious messages to prevent other tragedies.
RAID will also hold two informative seminars during OZTeK 2015 presented jointly by Paul Toomer and Mark McCrum. Firstly, Paul and Mark will present “The RAID Difference”, where they will present why RAID is the fastest growing diver training agency on the planet, address the facts and dispel any misconceptions. In the second RAID Seminar presentation they will present an insight into how and why RAID has attracted so many of the industry’s major players from the shores of Australia right across the globe to the UK.
Check the official OZTeK 2015 Program for dates, times and room numbers for both OZTeK Conference presentations and the RAID Seminars.
RAID will also be conducting a pre-OZTeK training Sidemount training program utilizing in particular the presence of Paul, acknowledged as one of the leading tech trainers on the planet. Those interested should immediately contact RAID Australia/South Pacific to register interest.
