Murex Bangka is situated on a palm-fringed white sand beach and offers a pristine tropical island experience. Drift away in a hammock while listening to the waves lapping on the shore, swim or snorkel in the crystal clear waters in front of the resort, explore the ocean by sea kayak, or simply enjoy a sun-downer while watching the glowing sunset over the ocean.
Murex Bangka Resort offers both Deluxe Hillside Cottages and Oceanfront Bungalows. The luxurious and spacious Deluxe Hillside Cottages are strategically located to give refreshing sea breezes with stunning views over the ocean and lush tree canopy below. These tastefully appointed, air-conditioned rooms offer comfortable indoor living, ensuite bathrooms, plenty of storage space, and large verandas with built-in day beds.
Oceanfront Bungalows are located on the beach – just meters from the ocean. They are a mix of traditionally styled timber bungalows and larger duplex rooms. Duplex rooms have adjoining doors and are perfect for families. Oceanfront rooms are charming, comfortable, and all offer stunning views over the ocean from their private verandas.
Accommodation at Murex Bangka is on a full board basis with a combination of a la carte and buffet style dining served either on the sea front overlooking the ocean or in the main restaurant.
As the first operator to dive the sites around Bangka Island, Murex have been exploring the area since 1990. You can rest assured that you will be diving with experienced and professional dive guides throughout your stay. Not only do the Dive Guides have thousands of dives experience in the region, they also undergo intensive training programs, including marine biology and underwater photography to ensure you receive the best underwater experience possible. I visited Bangka in October 2022 as part of the Passport to Paradise package. Diving was first class with many vibrant, soft corals of all colours. Boat crew and dive masters were friendly, professional and fun. We dove the house reef each evening. It was fantastic every time. The cabins are clean. My one complaint is that they got pretty hot and uncomfortable. If the resort could find better ways of cooling it would make the place xomplete

From the 3 resorts you can go to, this is my favorite. The location, the people, the diving, it is great. Even the house reef is spectacular and not only for diving, also for snorkeling. From pinnacles, to walls, to drop-offs. With loads of fish and small critters.
The whole outfit is well organized, I cannot say otherwise.
The trip from manado to bangka was lovely, with some diving on the way. By the time we arrived in bangka, our luggage was in our room.
My room was spacious and lovely, not too hot at all.
I would love to come here any time, and I probably will.
We stayed at Murex Bangka as part of our Passport to Paradise trip and it lived up to all our expectations. The resort is right at a gorgeous white beach with an amazing reef in front of it. Our kids loved playing at the beach and swimming and snorkeling there. The dive boats are spacious and you don’t need to worry about anything, the boat crew & dive guides take care of everything. An extra special feeling is having your meals with your toes in the sand. Will definitely be back for more visits….
