New Aqua Lung Dive Instrumentation Makes the Complex Easy

Leading Scuba Gear Maker Introduces New Line of Dive Computers & Analog Instrumentation
Aqua Lung, a leading global designer and manufacturer of dive and water sports equipment, have announced the lineup of its new line of dive instrumentation products. This new collection of dive computers and analogue gauges has been engineered to provide reliable, sophisticated dive technology that is intuitive and easy-to-use.
“With our ongoing commitment to being the leading global provider of diving equipment, it was a natural decision to expand into instrumentation,” said Don Rockwell, CEO of Aqua Lung International. “We look forward to serving the diving community by providing a range of high quality, innovative instruments that enhance their diving experience by bringing simplicity to the complex.”
Backed by advanced design, engineering and manufacturing, Aqua Lung’s new dive instrumentation line allows divers to safely and confidently descend into their dive adventure with thoughtfully designed features that harness the power of cutting-edge dive technology. With a wide range of functionality, from analogue gauges to the top-of-the-line i750T dive computer, the Aqua Lung dive instrument collection serves a wide variety of divers’ needs.
“In the same spirit that in 1943 inspired the father of all underwater breathing devices, the CG 43 regulator, Aqua Lung continues our mission to empower discovery for all divers,” said Jeff Allsop, Global Dive Business Line Manager. “Our new collection makes simple what is complex and brings real and useable technology to all divers. As an example, we’ve engineered all of our computers to use standard batteries that can easily be replaced by the user.”
The result is a line of dive computers with thoughtful features throughout that reflect a “complex made easy” approach that allows divers to focus on adventure rather than logistics. They are easy to read in any lighting condition and easy to use with simple, intuitive interfaces and navigation. The transmitter pairs for life and the equipment has user-changeable standard batteries. The entire line of computers is compatible with DiverLog, the best in class digital log book & mobile app.
Dive Computers
The premier i750T: powerful technology and engineering embodied in an intuitive and compact dive computer
Engineered for the technology-savvy diver, the i750T’s advanced performance features include an exceptionally crisp OLED color screen, easy-to-use interface, 3-axis full-tilt compass, a user-replaceable standard battery, and a paired-for-life optional transmitter. Tracking and sharing the dive takes just seconds with its Bluetooth® Smart wireless connectivity to a mobile device.
i450T: a features powerhouse that’s intuitive and sporty
Designed for the active diver and the travel diver, the i450T has flexibility and intuition packed into an eye-catching design. Even small but thoughtful details were considered— once the transmitter is paired, it never needs to be paired again. The optional hoseless gas integration reduces clutter for a more streamlined feel.
The i300: effortless approach with a rugged design
The i300 exceeds expectations—with many features such as its easy-to-use interface, flexible operating modes, built-in backlight and user-changeable battery with data retention. With effortless design, such as an automatic water-activation, it gets the diver right in the water and descending to the next adventure. For Operators, features such as a memory that’s easily cleared, a user changeable battery, and firmware that is updateable by the dive center make it the perfect computer for training and rental lockers.
DiverLog: best-in-class digital log book to record and share your dive information
Manage dive computer settings, view Log and Profile data, add location, notes and other details, as well as store and share photos and videos. The Aqua Lung dive computer is all set to easily sync and upload information to a Mac or PC. The i750T and its Bluetooth® Smart technology allow all of this to happen instantaneously with a mobile device (iOS or Android). More information can be found at www.ediverlog.com.
Transmitters
The Aqua Lung Transmitter, used in conjunction with the i750T or i450T, allows the diver to monitor current pressure and gas time remaining without a stiff high pressure hose, while providing a more streamlined profile. The transmitter pairs for life and up to three transmitters can be used with each Aqua Lung gas integrated wrist computer. Like the computers, the transmitter is also designed with standard user-changeable batteries. Transmitters come in two versions: Nitrox compatible to 40% and 100% O2.
Analogue Gauges
The Aqua Lung line of Analogue Gauges is designed for easy readability and use, with the quality and reliability expected from Aqua Lung products. A Pressure Gauge, Depth Gauge, and Compass are available separately or in two- or three-gauge console models.

Jeff chats to… Sean Webb, Director of O’Three, about diving in the UK and the O’Three brand

In this exclusive Zoom interview, Jeff Goodman, Scubaverse Editor-at-Large, chats to Sean Webb, Director of O’Three, the well-known UK-based manufacturer of custom drysuits and wetsuits.
After a bath time quarrel with his sister, Sean’s Mum taught him a lesson.
She held his head underwater for what she thought was long enough for that lesson to sink in (We are talking the mid 60’s here), but the lesson learned wasn’t the one that was intended. It was then that Sean realized he was comfortable, in or under the water. He was six.
The coasts of Devon and Dorset became his playground. 17 years later, with a trip around the world and some incredible diving under his belt, Sean Webb founded O’Three.
Now in its 32nd year, O’Three has evolved from a business with roots that are unashamedly rooted in UK diving, to a niche brand being enjoyed all over the world by discerning recreational, technical and commercial divers alike.

Fourth Element release new freediving suit

For 20 years fourth element have been pioneers of underwater thermal protection, experience they now bring to freediving.
Designed for recreational freediving, their new RF collection uses a optimum combination of Glideskin, Smoothskin and lined neoprene to maximise your freedom in the water, allowing you to focus on your breath, visualise and reach your limit.
The 3/2mm RF1 suit is easy to don, yet effectively sealed by Smoothskin seals at the wrists, ankles and neck. A ‘black-out’ zipper and robust inner linings ensure that this suit is more versatile than open cell suits, but water ingress is minimised keeping you warmer for longer.
Glideskin panels over the shoulders and along the legs give excellent stretch, improving fit and hydrodynamics, while subtle knee protection and more durable linings elsewhere ensure that this suit is practical for freediving in many environments.
The RF1 suit can be combined with the new RF vest to enhance thermal protection. This creates 6mm on the critical torso area and 3mm protection for the head, keeping suit flush to a minimum without adding restrictive bulk.
