TV presenter, diver and snorkeller Andy will be joined by marine biologist Jeanette Crawford to take groups of youngsters on a BSAC Beachcombing adventure down on the stunning beach at Pentewan Sands – the venue for the 2015 ScubaFest.
BSAC Beachcomber introduces children to the wonder of rock pools as they rummage and learn more about the sea creatures that inhabit them…. and having great fun along the way.
Adventurer Andy said he was looking forward to exploring Pentewan Sands’ rock pools as an official BSAC Beachcomber.
“Learning to understand and appreciate marine life at an early age can only be a good thing and the BSAC Beachcomber is the ideal way to get started. Rummaging around rock pools is great fun for children of all ages… even the adult ‘big kids’, and I’m really looking forward to being involved!”
The BSAC Beachcomber sessions are free and will be held at 11am on both the Saturday (2nd) and Sunday (3rd). They are great for families attending the annual ScubaFest weekend.
Places are limited – to pre-book at slot on a BSAC Beachcomber email firstname.lastname@example.org or visit the BSAC information tent at the event.
Organised by the Scuba Industry Trade Association (SITA), ScubaFest Cornwall is a weekend celebration of all things diving, with a host of underwater and topside activities to keep the whole family entertained. BSAC will be there and as well as the BSAC Beachcomber sessions, will be running free try dives in the Pentewan Sands indoor pool.
