What is the name of your business?
Scuba Caribe Mexico
What is your role within the business?
Dive Team Leader Los Cabos. I coordinate our operation of scuba diving and snorkeling tours.
How long have you dived for, and what qualification are you?
I have been diving for over 20 years. My qualification is Scuba Diving Instructor.
What is your favorite type of diving?
Open water dives.
If you could tell people one thing about your business (or maybe more!) to make them want to visit you what would it be?
Diving in the Sea of Cortez is a breathtaking experience, from whale migrations to an astounding amount of marine species.
What is your favorite dive in your location and why?
Pelican Rock is my favorite dive site, as it’s perfect for newbies – shallow and full of life.
What types of diving are available in your location?
Deep dives, shipwrecks and night dives.
What do you find most rewarding about your current role?
Taking people for their very first dive.
What is your favorite underwater creature?
Sharks.
Are there any exciting changes / developments coming up in the near future?
Yes, RIU will be opening a new hotel in our destination. We will be their official onsite dive & watersports service provider.
As a center what is the biggest problem you face at the moment?
At times, distances and transportation might be challenging.
Is your center involved in any environmental work?
We do frequent beach and ocean cleanups.
How do you see the SCUBA / Freediving / snorkeling industry overall? What changes would you make?
Scuba diving and snorkeling have become more and more popular; it’s definitely a growing sector.
What would you say to our visitors to promote the diving you have to offer?
Marine life of the the Sea of Cortez changes seasonally. Visitors will be surprised year-round.

Four opportunities to go pro in 2024 with Dive Friends Bonaire
Dive Friends teaches the Instructor Development Course (IDC) several times a year to students who are eager to share their passion for diving with the world.
Dive Friends is known for the personal approach throughout the course. Their in-house course director will lead the students through every essential step, mentoring them to achieve their fullest potential as a dive instructor.
Applications for the following IDC start dates are now open:
