Diving in Tobago made easy with Grafton Beach Resort and Le Grand Courlan
Tobago is a diver’s dream with over 60 dive sites that are easy to reach with moderate dive depths and water temperatures of between 27 and 30 degrees centigrade. The waters around the island are teeming with over 400 species of fish and other sea life including turtles, as well as spectacular reefs with colourful corals and wrecks.
Guests at Grafton Beach Resort and Le Grand Courlan have easy access to the water thanks to the Extra Divers Tobago (www.extradiverstobago.eu) dive shop based on Stonehaven Beach right next to both hotels.
Extra Divers Tobago offers a choice of dive experiences under the guidance of qualified dive pros. For beginners there are try dives in the pool, PADI open water courses and a bubblemaker programme for children. More experienced divers can take advanced certification courses and enjoy more adventurous deep dives, wreck diving and even night dives.
Diving can be added to a stay at either hotel. Diving experiences cost from US$110 for a three hour Explore and Discover programme to US$550 for a one week PADI open water certification course.
Regal Dive (Tel: 01353 659 999, www.regaldive.co.uk) offers 7 nights at the 3-star Grafton Beach Resort from £1,094 per person, based on two adults sharing on a bed and breakfast basis, including return flights from Gatwick and return airport transfers. A 5 day diving package with two dives per day costs £289 per person.
