Dive Damai, offering year-round luxury dive cruises throughout the Indonesian archipelago, have always taken diver comfort and safety very seriously, from the design of their liveaboards to the high-tech safety equipment installed aboard their yachts. In accordance with their aims to improve guest satisfaction and the be the forerunner in the Indonesian liveaboard market, Dive Damai has teamed up with the Divers Alert Network (DAN) to provide ALL of their diving guests with short term insurance coverage – free of charge.

“For the past 8 years Damai has been redefining the concept of liveaboard diving, providing superior quality yachts and pioneering the luxury liveaboard lifestyle,” says Alberto Reija Gracia, owner of Dive Damai. “Offering our guests this exclusive insurance package is the clear step forward to providing the ultimate liveaboard service.”

When travelling to remote locations such as Raja Ampat or the Forgotten Islands, having comprehensive diver insurance is just as vital as ensuring your regulator is functioning correctly. Yet with a wide variety of insurance policies offering diver coverage, it is often difficult to know which one is the best choice for you. Dive Damai, as the first liveaboard operator to offer free insurance, ensures their guests can travel and dive with the confidence that if something does go wrong, they are fully covered.

“We looked at several options and decided that DAN provided the most appropriate and comprehensive insurance policy for our divers,” says Alberto. “The high level of service and customer response which DAN shows is on a par with our own, and we only choose the best for our guests.”

The DAN Short Term Coverage policy includes diver accident/illness medical coverage and emergency evacuation up to US$100,000. Rebreather and mixed gas divers are also covered and 24/7 emergency assistance is provided.

British shark specialists Dan Abbott and Sarah Roberts take to the seas in All the Sharks, a major new reality TV series on Netflix.

This six-part competition follows the pair as they go head-to-head against three teams across six stunning global locations, in pursuit of the world’s most elusive sharks. With points awarded for each species spotted, Dan and Sarah must seek out elusive and unusual sharks to stay ahead in the race.

Featuring rare encounters and firsthand accounts from those on the frontlines of marine conservation, All the Sharks is an action-packed, family-friendly series that combines intense competitor drama with heart-racing underwater adventures. Underwater cinematographer and UK shark guide Dan Abbott reflects: “This series has taken us to some of the remotest parts of the world, sharing the water with iconic species.

The sharks we encountered are unique, misunderstood and many of them, completely unknown. Shining a spotlight on these incredible animals will help people appreciate them in a whole new way.” Eco journalist, author and presenter Sarah Roberts, says.

The pair are no strangers to global adventure, having collaborated closely for seven years, with Dan typically behind the camera and Sarah in front. Their projects have taken them from the icy Arctic to tiger tracking in Indonesia. Along the way, they’ve encountered alligators and venomous snakes. But this venture is regarded as their wildest yet.

Throughout filming, Dan and Sarah captured footage of as many rare sharks as possible, using their extensive experience to maintain a respectful approach to all shark encounters and ensure minimal disturbance.

The series arrives at a time of growing interest in shark conservation in UK waters, where sightings of basking and blue sharks are growing, making the British connection to these incredible animals more relevant than ever.

All the Sharks is streaming now on Netflix.
