Observing Spotted Eagle Rays

Aetobatus Narinari commonly known as the Spotted Eagle Ray is one of my favorites in the ray family. Spotted Eagle Rays are one of the most distinctive species of rays due to the white spots and rings across their dorsal surface and triangular disc or “wings”. The Rays in this short video were observed around the Galapagos Islands on several dives. It’s always thrilling to watch them swim through the water column or forage along a sandy ocean bottom.
