Applications are now invited for The Women Divers Hall of Fame scholarships and training grants.
The Women Divers Hall of Fame (WDHOF) is a not for profit organisation dedicated to honouring and raising awareness of the contributions of outstanding women divers.
WDHOF provides educational, mentorship, financial, and career opportunities to the diving community throughout the world. Each year, WDHOF awards scholarships and training grants that provide financial and educational support to individuals of all ages.
Scholarships are offered in marine conservation, marine biology, underwater archaeology, seagrass and coral rehabilitation, sea turtle conservation, extreme environment physiology, and journalism/graphic arts/photography/videography. They are intended to support independent research, field work, conservation and rehabilitation activities, as specified in the descriptions.
Scholarships are paid directly to the recipient. Training grants provide funding for diving and related underwater training. WDHOF and their sponsors offer several dive training grants for both beginners and certified divers to advance their skills.
The deadline for applications is on midnight on 31st October 2020 (U.S. Eastern Daylight Time)
Applicants will be notified by 1st February 2021 and awards will be made at Beneath The Sea Dive Expo on 14th March 2021.
