Announcing the 2nd Nikon Dive Portfolio of the Year Underwater Photographic Competition

OZTek and Nikon Australia have announced the second Nikon Dive Portfolio of the Year Underwater Photographic Competition.

The Nikon Dive Portfolio of the Year is a chosen collection of six images, showing a range of techniques over numerous categories that showcase the photographer’s breadth of skill. The winning portfolios will be displayed around Australia’s capital cities as part of the 2018 Ocean Film Festival in March – April 2018 and at OZTek2019, ICC Sydney, March 16/17, 2019.

Competition entrants need to enter six images from the existing OZTek bi-annual underwater competition categories. Each portfolio will be judged by a panel of peer photographers, as well as through a public vote. The competition judges will be looking for the following criteria when selecting the 2018 Nikon Portfolio of the Year:

‘The Nikon Dive Portfolio needs to demonstrate clarity of vision and artistic intent to produce an inspirational body of work from a minimum of three out of five standard OZTek Underwater Photography Competition categories. Portfolio images should show breadth of skill with different underwater photography styles (e.g. wide angle, macro etc.), lighting techniques and subject matter, while illustrating the passion, dedication and expertise needed to create a consistent collection of captivating images’.
