3rd edition of Diving the World by Beth and Shaun Tierney to be published
Every diver has a personal hit list of must-see marine creatures and must-dive destinations. Footprint’s Diving the World is the perfect resource for those who want inspiration for that next dive trip – and help deciding which ones to explore first and which dream will have to wait for another year. It is the ideal guide for both experienced and novice divers, those who want to be more adventurous and explore up-and-coming sites, and even divers-to-be.
The third edition of Diving the World, written by expert photo-journalist team Beth & Shaun Tierney, has been revised and updated to reflect the shifts in the dynamic dive travel industry, incorporating several new destinations. Featuring all a diver needs to know about some of the most magnificent dive sites in the world, it is about more than just technicalities, with spectacular and inspirational underwater photography throughout.
Covering the essentials and the practicalities of each destination as well as a brief on the location, a summary of the dive sites and a wealth of information on marine biodiversity, this unique fusion of diving and travel also includes suggestions on what to do on land on ‘drying out’ days.
A digital version of this title will also be available from all the major eBook retailers.
The authors, Beth and Shaun Tierney, were first inspired to dive during a round-the-world trip in the late 80s. They have now been diving for over 25 years, and together they form SeaFocus, a photo-journalist team with PADI Master Scuba Dive qualifications. They also run an information and image-based resource for scuba divers with an ever-growing gallery of underwater photos and videos from well-known scuba diving holiday destinations across the world along with marine species galleries and information files.
