Pro Dive Mexico Awarded Beneath The Sea’s Certificate of Excellence 2015
Pro Dive Mexico, a PADI 5-Star Dive Resort founded in 2003 and one of the most established and recognized IDC & CDC Centers in Latin America located at several 4* and 5* Resorts along the Riviera Maya and in Cozumel, has announced that it has been awarded the Beneath the Sea – Certificate of Excellence 2015, honouring their continued efforts and contribution towards the marine environment.
Beneath the Sea, founded in 1976, is America’s largest consumer international dive and travel show, and held at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus/New Jersey. During its annual 3-day expo, it delivers almost 400 exhibitors and over 70 Workshops and Seminars to the public, reflecting all aspects of diving from travel and diving safety to underwater digital photography, and providing the latest in scientific and environmental research related to the underwater ecosystem. Ocean Pals was created ten years later as a model of education for youth.
“Being honoured with the Certificate of Excellence by Beneath The Sea & Ocean Pals is a true achievement and affirmation to the entire team at Pro Dive Mexico to continue our extensive efforts towards the conservation of our oceans and preservation of all marine life. We would like to take this opportunity to extend our appreciations to our professional instructors for delivering environmental education to all our customers, our guests for their responsible behaviour while diving, and partners for supporting our field work both directly and indirectly,”said Markus Fleischmann, CEO and founder of Pro Dive Mexico.
Pro Dive Mexico is the first company in its area that has achieved the Green Star, awarded by PADI Americas in recognition and appreciation of their dedication to the aquatic environment and the efforts they have made to reduce the environmental footprint of their business, and outstanding performance in initiating green business and social responsibility practices. Pro Dive Mexico is the pioneer of the famous Whale Shark Safari on the Mexican Riviera Maya, and actively supports the local project ‘Saving Our Sharks’, which focuses on the protection of Bull Sharks by GPS tagging them in order to study their population, determine their genetic background, health status and migration patterns to help protect the species and conserve their critical habitats. Their professional instructors guiding bull shark dives carry transmitters to gather data to later pass them on to the organization that runs the ‘Saving out Sharks’ project, which can be funded by donations – visit www.savingoursharks.org for more details.
