New to UW Photography? Enter the NUPG Splash-In at Capernwray next month
The Northern Underwater Photography Group (NUPG) are holding a Splash-In event for newcomers to underwater photography at the Capernwray dive site on Saturday 23 September. Entrance is open to anyone who has not won an underwater photography contest (excluding the NUPG monthly competition). Entry is free and open to non-members. The usual entrance charge for Capernwray will still apply.
To enter please inform NUPG that you will be coming either through the NUPG Facebook page or by emailing info@nupg.org.uk.
Actual registration will be from 9am at Capernwray. Yo-Han Cha (NUPG Chairman) will be in the carpark, with an NUPG sign displayed at his car, ready to take registrations.
Experienced members of NUPG will be on hand over the course of the day to provide advice and assistance in editing your images. Editing will be permitted but only whole image alterations, no cropping or spot removal.
Each entrant can submit a maximum of two images, taken on any type of digital camera. Images should be submitted from 3pm to 3.30pm at the room provided by Capernwray for judging. Judging will be by public vote from approximately 3.45pm. Scubaverse Underwater Photography Editor Team Frogfish Photography have kindly sponsored a trophy.

Four opportunities to go pro in 2024 with Dive Friends Bonaire
Dive Friends teaches the Instructor Development Course (IDC) several times a year to students who are eager to share their passion for diving with the world.
Dive Friends is known for the personal approach throughout the course. Their in-house course director will lead the students through every essential step, mentoring them to achieve their fullest potential as a dive instructor.
