Beginning this November, divers will be able to escape for a winter sun diving adventure to Aqaba, Jordan, more easily than ever before with the advent of new weekly flights from easyJet. Dive Worldwide, believes the Jordanian resort of Aqaba, home to treasures both above and underwater to be one of the finest dive destinations offering everything from wreck diving, snorkelling and sandy beaches to the nearby UNESCO-protected Wadi Rum and Petra.

The service, with a flight time of less than five hours, begins on the 10th November and runs each Saturday through to 23 March 2019.

Visit Jordan

With a 25km-long coastline, offering 20 shore dive sites, and warm waters year-round, Aqaba is a dive location suitable for all levels of experience. This week-long trip to the resort showcases the very best of the southern part of Jordan. Guests will enjoy a 10-dive package in the Red Sea, encompassing everything from reef to wreck dives. There may be marine encounters with feather tail stingrays and hawksbill turtles and the chance to dive at the Oliver’s Canyon and Cedar Pride sites, renowned for their wrecks including a huge freighter sunk in 1985. Divers are also able to make excursions out into the desert to explore the local villages and historical sites, and learn more about this fascinating country.

Price: Dive Worldwide (diveworldwide.com, 01962 302087) offers Visit Jordan from £875pp based on 2 sharing, including 7 nights’ B&B accommodation, 10 dive package, tanks and weights and transfers. The new easyJet service offers return flights from London Gatwick to Aqaba from £145pp.
