New Dive Resort In Fiji Opens
FIJI- The much-awaited $2million Taveuni Dive Resort has finally opened its doors for operation on the south-end of the island.
Even though some finishing touches were being attended to yesterday, there was a vibrant atmosphere everywhere as staff members worked round-the-clock to ensure the eight-villa investment was ready for business.
Fiji’s Prime Minister, Rear Admiral (Ret) Voreqe Bainimarama, opened the resort situated at Soqulu last night.
Co-owner Carl Fox said they made a lot of sacrifices in order to have the resort constructed.
“This is an eight-villa resort and it’s situated in the middle of the island,” Mr Fox said in an interview.
“My wife, Mirial Fox and I invested heavily on this project and we are so thankful and honoured to have the Prime Minister as the chief guest for the official opening of the resort.
“The resort is a sustainable one and it has 18 dedicated staff. The resort is also very low in energy-consumption and it’s accessible to all our customers.”
“We would like to thank the Government of the day for recognising such an investment and for giving us a chance and believing in our investment here on Taveuni.”
