Scubaverse.com’s Dive Centre of the Day today is The Taaras Beach & Spa Resort in Redang, Malaysia!
The Taaras Beach & Spa Resort is both a registered PADI Five Star IDC (Instructor Development Center) and Five Star Dive Resort – and the only one in the Redang archipelago.
A mere 2 to 15 minutes away from the resort, explore marine life in Lima Island at diving sites like Kerengga Besar Island, Kerengga Kecil Island, Big Mount, Black Coral Garden and Northern Run. Feel the adrenaline rush as you dive into the waters and are surrounded by colourful marine life.
Found on the East Coast of Malaysia, the Island of Redang is located just 45km from the coast of Terengganu state. The Island along with the protected Marine Park is located in the richly diverse South China Sea, and the archipelago comprises of nine Islands.
There are more than thirty dive locations, filled with both hard and soft corals, as well as a rich variety of marine life which can be seen by snorkeling or in more detail by diving. The dive team are only too happy to sit and discuss these warm and cold blooded animals and mammals with you.
Expect to see turtles and various species of corals, reef sharks, various species of fish including scorpion, moray eels, angel fish, barracuda, napoleon, trigger fish, rainbow runner, giant sting ray, cuttle fish, octopus, nudibranch and many more marine species.

Four opportunities to go pro in 2024 with Dive Friends Bonaire
Dive Friends teaches the Instructor Development Course (IDC) several times a year to students who are eager to share their passion for diving with the world.
Dive Friends is known for the personal approach throughout the course. Their in-house course director will lead the students through every essential step, mentoring them to achieve their fullest potential as a dive instructor.
Applications for the following IDC start dates are now open:

If the student opts for the IDC-Deluxe or IDC-Supreme package, their accommodation will be arranged for them at Casita Palma. This small and quiet resort is within walking distance from Dive Friends Bonaire’s main dive shop location and has everything you need to relax after an intense day of IDC training. Breakfast is included, so the student will always be fuelled and ready for their day.
