The ancient Sultanate of Oman is a land of rare beauty with stark desert mountains, oases, wadis and pristine beaches. The mountains extend into the sea and create a spooky underwater environment. The monsoon weather pattern of the Indian subcontinent is linked to eastern Africa and this causes an up welling of cold, nutrient-rich water in the summer. The cold water even causes an uncharacteristic rainy season in the summer. This combination of forces creates a unique underwater environment and ecosystem. This film documents some very surprising events witnessed there in November, 2017. Enjoy.
